Dan Trindade

Dan Trindade is a founding partner of Trindade Farr & Pill. Dan has advised some of Australia's largest corporations on all aspects of workplace relations and employment law. He has extensive experience in all facets of workplace relations and employment law with particular emphasis on enterprise bargaining, workplace strategy, industrial disputation and employment litigation.

Dan was admitted to practice in 1997 and worked as a solicitor for national law firm Clayton Utz. He subsequently held in-house counsel roles with the Air New Zealand Ansett Australia Group and Telstra.

He has significant in-depth experience of the commercial and operational realities that impact upon workplace relations and employment issues and provides advice, assistance and representation with an emphasis on the commercial and operational objectives of his clients.

Dan is also an experienced advocate, appearing regularly in Courts and Tribunals, and presenter of seminars and training for areas such as equal opportunity and grievance management.

Skills and Experience:

Whilst Dan has been involved in many major projects and issues for major employers, some of his recent key experience has been in:

  • Enterprise bargaining for major employers, resulting in agreements that cover tens of thousands of employees.
  • A wide range of employment related litigation for a range of employers across a number of jurisdictions.
  • High level workplace relations strategy for a number of major Australian employers.
  • Extensive trial and submission advocacy in the Australian Industrial Relations Commission and industrial divisions of the Courts.

Relevant Presentations and Publications:

Dan has conducted presentations and seminars for major employers as well as presenting at external seminars. He has conducted training on Equal Opportunity, Grievance Management, Redundancy and Retrenchment, Performance and Conduct Management, Freedom of Association, Transmission of Business and Outsourcing.

Dan recently conducted a major grievance management / EEO training program for a large management team across all Australian States and Territories.
